Hmmm, I was bottle-fed and born in 1954. I don’t ever remember being told I was given homemade formula, and just assumed in my adulthood that it had been commercial.. Maybe I’m wrong.

You might not be wrong. I really have no idea when they started making commercial baby formula. I thought since this family member did homemade in 1966 it was before commercial formula. Also, we were in a rural, out in the sticks area. Perhaps commercial formula wasn't readily available or too expensive? 🤷‍♀️

My daughter was born in 1973 and was fed commercial formula. I did use cloth diapers though. :-0
