Sen. Elizabeth Warren vented at the Supreme Court Tuesday following the leak of a draft opinion that would strike down the landmark Roe v. Wade abortion case.
'I am angry,' the Massachusetts Democrat fumed. 'Angry and upset and determined.'
She joined protesters who rushed to the High Court hours after Politico reported on the draft opinion.
Gesticulating with her arm as she spoke, she said Americans want to maintain Roe as the 'law of the land' – while a heckler outside the court interrupted and accused her of trying to 'dismember children.'
'We've heard enough from the extremists,' she said, before heading away from the scene.
Chief Justice John Roberts, who reportedly does not plan to join in the majority opinion, confirmed the legitimacy of the draft when he announced a leak probe.
'I am here because I am angry, and I am here because the United States Congress can change all of this. Angry, but committed,' Warren intoned.
She accused conservatives of 'plotting, carefully cultivating these Supreme Court justices so they could have a majority on the bench who would accomplish something that the majority of Americans do not want.'

Please explain to me how returning an issue from Federal mandate back to state legislatures “imposes” anything on the American people? It’s quite the opposite.

Well said....five judges should not decide abortion laws...which is the entire point of over-turning Roe v Wade. Don’t you understand that you are making the case against Roe V Wade? The voters in each state will decide about abortion should Roe V Wade be overturned....most (if not all) will undoubtedly have some sort of pro-choice law through the first 15 months. Abortions in the third trimester will likely be banned. Second trimester abortion laws will vey from state to state and flip back and forth in each state depending on who’s in charge that year and how badly the politicians want to divide us up and get us yelling at each other instead of paying attention to their terrible records.
My belief is that as science gets more advanced, abortion will likely become more and more abhorrent. Even current pro-choice people find the abortion practice abhorrent....even as they support it. Legalized abortion will probably go down as one of the worst policies ever embraced by the US....right up there with slavery.
And......wait for it.....300 years from now the people will be ripping down statues of Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton because of their pro-abortion stance...they will not be judged in their time....they will be judged in contemporary times? That’s how the left likes it, right?
The bottom line is: the fire keeps on burning and the world keeps on turning.

Women must realize that they make their choice in the moments before they get pregnant not after.
And men must be held responsible for the children they conceive.
If the child is put up for adoption or fostered or in a orphanage then both parents must pay until it’s 18th birthday or graduation from college.
Just look how angry thesebhorrible baby killers get. Do you have any doubt that these democrats would not use the full force of government to murde us as well should we actually try to stop them from murdering babies?

Yes, that is true. I suppose I said it that way just because presidents in recent history have picked lawyers. At least that way they could attempt to disguise the political nature of their picks.
I would extend my question to innumerable issues. I just don’t like the idea of 330,000,000 people waiting breathlessly for five individuals to decide the course of the country. It looks too much like what I see in reading a chapter of Gibbon’s Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. I don’t have an alternative though.
Abortion is not as big an issue as people make it out to be. 99% of laws are made at the state level and abortion will be no different. The political left like to intimidate with violence lately. It ultimately shows how little faith they have in their arguments.
Abortion is not going away, the litmus test and the political fires surrounding Supreme Court nominees will go away though… and that’s what really enraged the political left.
Basically, the political left has gone off its rocker. Remember when the Dems used to be the party of the blue collar worker? That was a million years ago. They are now bought and sold by big business, elites, and most likely China.
The Dems have not not been acting confident the last couple of years. They are acting panicky and scared. They fear equality and the end of racism because It’s the mothers milk if their existence. Like an abusive spouse they are lashing out due to fear and insecurity… not strength. Don’t be intimidated.
