The following is an excerpt from Becker's Hospital Review.
The latest group of workers to quit their jobs are older, tenured employees with decades of experience under their belts, reported Vox April 30.
While earlier in the pandemic, the droves of workers quitting tended to be younger, less experienced and working in the service industry, those joining the Great Resignation now are older and more tenured.

After 4 years of retirement and some medical issues I’ve been trying to get back into the workplace with a job that fits my qualifications, after over 100 applications and only 3 interviews and zero offers im just about ready to call it quits.
Let the damn 'white liberal 'elites' do the jobs the middle class and working class were doing... Maybe they think they can train the illegals and MS13 drug dealers.
The best solution is to peacefully divide the country into two nations. One free- one woke. They can have what they want 0 we can have what we want... A total WIN WIN.
Yet another Perfect Storm brewing. Thanks Brandon!
Better learn some basic skills because you’ll be cooking at home more (no restaurant workers), fixing your own car with spit and bailing twine (no mechanics, no parts), installing your own home appliances (no plumbers or electricians) and butchering your own meat - that you hunted for, or raised yourself.
I hope I live long enough to watch all of this from the sidelines...sittin’ here on my sack a’ seeds! ;)
“The place I will be leaving I’ve been at for nine years and it’s become way too woke,”
Woke, and stupidly condescending. We have “squads”, and “huddles”, and “stand ups”. All while trying to integrate itil to make simple things more complicated.
It’s stupid beyond words, the only thing stupider is the office of diversity and inclusion.
Retirement income from SS and pension. Lucky for me I learned that military time could be added to civilian pension if you work at a federal agency for at least five years. Caveat, it's not that much, but it's better than nothing (added up, it totaled 16 years).
Went back to work last July, as well. Honeydos were getting old, and we're helping my son's family, as my granddaughter has been in NICU since birth last October. She was 14 weeks premie, weighed 17 ounces at birth. Thank God, she's over ten pounds now, with a long way to go before she can go home.
This is exactly why I plan to retire as soon as possible from the big three Bank I work for. I'm a corporate lead SME in my role, but the Bank is insisting that everyone must return to office by June 1. This is something I definitely do not want to do anymore at my 70ish age.
WTH? I thought this is exactly what the Bushbot liberals wanted! Get rid of older more expensive employees for foreign cheep workers.
We have one of those, and a separate HR VP that literally constantly supports racist ideals against whites.
If liberal ‘elites’ win there’s no reason to help them by holding jobs.
Disney wants to groom our children? Let them go under.
If Disney’s so stupid they think ‘elites’ are having enough children to keep their parks open then they deserve what’s going to happen.
Same with the rest of ‘WOKE’ industries. Workers can use the ‘safety nets’ liberals created for black democrats and we’ll get by just fine.
Speaking of skills, and not to highjack the thread, but get a load of this. A tweet on that sheep and wool fest in MD...

@Sblahov
Got my tickets for Maryland Sheep and Wool, my first fiber festival! It is half outdoors and half indoors (in barns) so I will be double masking and may have to refrain from going in some of the indoor stuff if I can’t social distance, but I’m so excited.

Before I retired I had to help the poor youngsters navigate the legacy systems that the organization had failed to eliminate.
They had a bunch of undocumented flaws that went back decades...
I’m lucky to work for a small family owned business. The owner knows I’m conservative and is one himself. I keep quiet. I could never go back corporate again — too politicky.
Now, with remote so available, LinkedIn is likely the best.
However, my wife has done best with several recruiters, along with Indeed.com.
Yes it is and it’s polarizing.
Yep. The idiots are still out there, paving the way for mail-in ballots however they can!
Infuriating!
No mater how experienced talented and dependable if you are a white male you will be treated as a pariah with hundred years of wrongs you had nothing to do with hung about your neck. You will become ‘woke’ manage, supervisor, department head and Corporate officers whipping boy
That, and "vax" mandates.
The vax mandates had a meta-message—that the employer viewed the employees as slaves with zero rights.
That meta-message contradicts every stated corporate culture which means that intelligent employees (who did not know before) have now learned something new about their senior management—senior management is a gang of liars.
Once the trust is lost there is no reason for loyalty to the organization.
I left the 8-8 working world in 2016 to spend time with my daughter who was a senior in high school. Best move ever. I got to know my daughter as an 18 year old and we have a very good relationship since. Took a retirement job for grocery money and other things.
