You dont throw money at an undefined problem, unless you are some deep state actor who is looking for another trough to feed from. Then you like to create as many problems as you can, especially ones that have no solution or end state. Make it vague (its UFO's, whats that???) and not provable, make it a threat, then tell people its a national priority.

The first time we are actually attacked by some artifact on FLIR scope or radar screen, or a mylar weather balloon skin being tossed around in the air, then it will become a national defense concern. Until then, its an annoying distraction to whatever ails this country, whether its borders, drugs, or bogus elections.
