Zzzzzzzzzzz.

Let's say my truck engine is making strange noises and misbehaving. I can't define exactly what it is, but it is a concern.

Do I ignore it or ask my mechanic to take a look (it might cost some money).

If you’re in a race, run it til it blows up or you win.
Otherwise, mech analysis is a good path.

Great analogy. Do you think your truck is being attacked by aliens or a foreign super power with secret technology? No. You take it to a mechanic. All these stupid videos of tictacs in FLIR screens should have been taken directly to Raytheon or whatever contractor built the system and let the techs sort it out. Its equipment artifacts, atmospherics, and occasionally junk floating about in the air.
