Would like to make this "chat" thread one where FREEPers post their observations on how your LOCAL tv stations and news radio and news papers are covering the SCOTUS story.
Where are you, and what are they doing? Is it fair and balanced?
I see at least some of the tv coverage going live to DC and asking CNN "reporters" what is happening. I don't yet see any local coverage asking pro-Life people what they think.
More to come if there is more detail to report.
What are you seeing in your hometown?
I live I rural Colorado. There is no media there let alone any that I can trust. The internet seems to be the best information. We seem to not be organized under a national banner like CBS, NBC or CNN nor GOP and such. Grass roots seems to describe “We The People”. We are not highly organized but we are of one voice and we will be speaking soon in elections like today back east. As more and more votes come in our votes will be heard in what has been called the silent majority.
I don’t watch TV much and don’t listen to the radio anymore. I just found about this leak first here this morning.
Oklahoma…. Reported as balanced news.
Really? OKC or Tulsa?
The Attorney General of Massachusetts is a filthy bull dyke who makes Mao look like Ghandi. During the Rat Party insurrection of Summer 2020 she once said "yes,America is in flames but that's how forests grow".
I'd wager the clothes on my back that we'll see a repeat of Summer 2020 if "Roe" is,in fact, overturned.
We are at our ranch in SE Okla. Heard it last night on channel 6 out of Tulsa
no television
I go straight to Free Republic for news
Still no mention of the baby’s rights, or body/choice.
Nice! I would expect OK to do some straight news.
Didn’t Oklahoma legislature recently reject abortion for any terms or circumstances?
Our local Fox43 in Knoxville is snowing protesters’ signs like “abortion saves lives” at this very moment.
Her highness Hillary Clinton looks on while peasant in mask tends to her gown.
Yes
Honestly, I don't think that'll happen.
I believe for the strident left, pro-life threats to infanticide will always trigger them. But unlike diversity and equity and inclusion, "abortion is your mother's jam, boomer."
Many Gen Zers aren't having sex, birth control is basically free, and Millenials are more interested in their side gig or finding a new telecommuting job with a jacked base comp and paying for gas.
The left failed to do with abortion what the right has done with guns/second amendment - pass the hyper-vigilance onto the next generation AND widen the big tent.
I bet we will see isolated protests, maybe a fire or two, and maybe a few pro-abortionists setting themselves aflame. But it won't be anything like June 2020.
‘Local news’ here in East Tennessee is using the same NEXSTAR template as many other metro/suburban areas around the country...many of us are reading the same BS.
