VLADIMIR Putin is set to undergo an operation for cancer and will hand over power to his hardline spy chief, a Kremlin insider has reportedly claimed.
The Russian tyrant’s health has been source of considerable speculation amid reports that he is battling both abdominal cancer and Parkinson’s Disease.
But now it has been reported that 69-year-old Putin could soon vanish as he goes under the knife, with power transferred to Nikolai Patrushev.
Shadowy Patrushev, 70, is seen as a key architect of the Ukraine war strategy and the man who convinced Putin that Kyiv was awash with neo-Nazis.
The claim was reported on Russian media outlet General SVR, which first raised issues of Putin’s health around 18-months ago.
They quote an anonymous former high-ranking Kremlin military figure as saying: “Putin has discussed that he will be undergoing medical procedures.”

Abdominal cancer has many possibilities. Could be pancreas, liver, colon, other, and any combo of the aforementioned. Pooty with a colostomy would be a meme-fest.

I agree on the steroid moon face. Whether he is taking them for cosmetic or actual medical issues I don’t know, and would not be surprised either way. There has been speculation on both for some time.
I do question whether he actually about to undergo surgery based on the highly dubious source of this story (see my #34). Again, it would not surprise me if he indeed has cancer or other terminal disease. I simply question this particular source and story.

For the record: While I think Clinton badly mishandled the Russian Question back in the 90s and had we acted more rationally and in America’s best interest there never would have been a President Putin, Putin is an ex-KGB thug and all that entails. I also think it was a huge error to appoint Victoria Nuland to such a post in the Biden administration. Up until the invasion of Ukraine, he at least appeared to be a rational actor which is of paramount importance when it comes to the leader of a nuclear-armed nation. Now … well, it seems Biden, Putin and Kim are not such rational actors as we would like.
Much care needs to be taken. The stakes are astronomically high. There is no room for irrationality when it comes to nukes.
A cancer diagnosis with Parkinson’s is messy. It’s been clear he’s got one or more issues- any of which could be responsible for his personality changes. His med cocktail must be impressive.
So without modern drugs, Joe and Vlad would be rockin on the porch...
