In the throes if packing up my house and preparing it for sale.
A friend is beginning her garden so I was able to give her four 55 gallon water barrels, 3 large composters, an electric woodchipper, and a shit ton of seeds (most of which I harvested from veggies I gree and that did well in our climate.)
Okra, Peppers, Sweet potatoes (Covington is good one), should work well there if you have enough room.
Might be able to get sweet potatoes in this year with enough time to ripen.
Advantage sweet potatoes over okra and peppers is that you put them in and forget them til fall. Quick till, and fertilize and plant. (and hope for rain!)
Good luck! Sure you have a lot of other things to do this year.
