DHA, EPA (both from fish oil), and Curcumin have been found to help block IL-1.

There are drugs that can, as well.

The “Take Charge Of Your Health” Ping List

This potentially high volume ping list is for health articles and studies which describe something you or your doctor, when informed, may be able to immediately implement for your benefit.

Now keeping a new list (“Common/Top Issues”) for conditions expected to only concern at least 1% of the population. Ask to be on either the “Common/Top Issues” or “Everything” list.

Please email or private message me if you want on or off of a list and of which list you desire.

Lower carbohydrates, and a mostly animal, fruit, vegetable, nuts & seeds diet works best for myself and many I speak with.
Paleo…

How one inflammatory disorder exacerbates another.

Sort of like how Xiden and Harris feed off each other. Now there’s a pair of inflammations if I’ve ever seen them.

It’s very hard to single out. I have a greens drink in the a.m..
I lift and sprint 3 days a week with some yoga on off days.
I eat mostly Paleo.
I meditate twice a day.
Sleep 7-9 hours a night.
Take Vitamins C, D3, Quercetin, and Zinc.
Nighttime before bed, I take Magnesium.
Occasionally take a random Aspirin.
Fish oil daily with occasional skipping a day.

Everything adds up. :)

6’2” 215lb and mostly lean. 200 is very lean.
Mid 40’s no health issues
Lifting for 33 years
Training for Masters T&F
I feel great, but not 21 y/o.

That sounds like a really great routine.
I take the D3, Quercertin, Zinc, Magnesium, Selenium, B12 and a multi. I’m looking for something that will help with some inflammation and have been on the fence about fish oil.

My doctor told me they investigate these natural herbs, and they almost always turn out to be of little or no value. But Turmeric is an exception. He said they found it far outperforms the claims made by its proponents.

You have to take other vitamins with Turmeric to avoid any allergic reactions

I am not sure what, exactly, but I take a lot of zinc magnesium vitamin B complex LOTS of vitamin D and some other things

I haven’ figured out what stops the allergic reaction but I can eat turmeric again.

None of my family have had problems with turmeric.

My wife has started drinking a homemade turmeric tea for joint pain.

One major problem with DHA/EPA:

The effects are totally negated by omega 6. I describe such an action in my book as analogous to painting over dry rot.

This paper describes what I label a ‘chain problem’ relative to health matters. In non-health matters it is described as “Cause-and-Effect Chain.”

A distinct minority of the population is capable of troubleshooting a chain problem, be it mechanical, electrical, chemical, engineering or - in this reference - biological. Even fewer doctors possess this trait (which CANNOT be trained; it is innate).

I am an expert. Consider my abilities to be doctorate level.

In my book I describe my own approach to such problems in layman’s terms (an unpublished book in rewrite now directed at medical professionals rather than the public) but it’s irrelevant here.

This statement in the linked article defies a logical explanation:

“Different mechanisms have been proposed, but no one unifying mechanism could explain this bidirectionality.”

Then this:

“We’ve seen anti-IL-1 antibodies used in clinical trials for atherosclerosis with excellent results,” Hajishengallis says. “It could be that it was in part because it was blocking this maladaptive trained immunity.”

My God in Heaven. /s Some reading this will understand my disdain for that statement.

My point is that this paper is yet more evidence of M&M at work, trying to make sense of a public health disaster which eclipses the so-called ‘coronavirus pandemic’ by an order of magnitude.

But they will never make sense of it. They will only complicate it further, exacerbating public health threats with their efforts.

Look at the life expectancy & mortality stats over the past 25 years before calling me a liar.

What we have here is direct evidence of very smart, educated people demonstrating that - in terms of solving problems - they are very truly dumb.
