Things were tough financially when my wife and I first got married. I hate to admit this, but we were so desperate we resorted to shoplifting just to survive.
I was stealing some canned goods at the supermarket and got caught.
I was brought before the judge. My wife attended my trial.
The judge asked “What did you steal?”
I said “A can of peaches.”
The judge asked “How many peaches were in the can?”
I said “Six”.
The judge said “Therefore I sentence you to six days in jail.”
My wife shouted from the gallery “He also stole a can of peas.”

#10 I was there... I had just finished painting the crosswalk and I needed someone to cross over to show how good a job I had done and I motioned to these hippies to walk across. I snapped some keepsake photos : )

There was a man whose last name was Rose. As a lark, he named his daughter Wild, “with the happy conceit of having her called Wild Rose.” But that sentiment was “knocked out” when the woman grew up to marry a man whose last name was Bull. Weekly Journal-Miner in Prescott, Ariz., May 23, 1888
