I would hope they went in different directions. A two-month-old is innocent. I hope he was baptised; even so, we serve a merciful God.
Based on some of the books written by people who have died and saw heaven but were brought back medically, they encountered people in heaven to whom they were related but had never known, such as a miscarried child, or a parent, sibling or great grandparent who died before they were born. Mystics say all of us appear in our spirit bodies in full health and wholeness on that side, neither young nor old; and those returned from near-death say that they communicated without words, telepathically. I'm assuming God's perfect order sorts out all those whom we are permitted to encounter—He receives us into "many mansions" (John 14:2).
So the soul of her boy may be shown to her as a whole, grown man, so she would see what she missed out on through her negligent (at best) or evil actions.
