Sleep Well Tonight....
My imagination | 4/28/2022 | By Laz A. Mataz

Posted on 04/28/2022 8:15:57 PM PDT by Lazamataz

4/28: America approves a "Lend Lease" program with Ukraine. Ukraine will receive NATO equipment en-masse.

5/12: An artillery barrage from Russian forces in the Ukraine kills 17 Americans, who were sent to train the Ukrainians on our equipment.

5/30: Russians target NATO transports coming from Belarus with effective artillery. 45 dead, 17 trucks destroyed.

6/17: Second attempt by Russia to destroy Belarussian transports. Firefight ensues. Russian and American troops are now in direct conflict. Counter-battery NATO artillery is fired, with shelling occurring directly into Russia.

7/15: Russia stops ALL oil and gas exports.

7/17: America, having already sent 50,000 troops to Belarus and Poland, increases the troop count to 150,000.

7/30: Russia states that, because NATO is sending war material to Ukraine, that any contact with American NATO will result in combat.

8/6: Russian agents assassinate Zelensky.

8/10: Russia commits a full 50 percent of its military to more Ukrainian invasion. Firefights with NATO troops are becoming more common, even in the Ukraine, but mostly on the border with Belarus.

8/15: NATO incursions into Russia are becoming more commonplace, strategic targets are being hit.

8/27: Russia deploys chemical weapons against NATO troops.

9/2: NATO responds in kind.

10/10: NATO forces come into Ukraine in large numbers.

10/17: Russia fires a tactical nuclear weapon at NATO forces, killing and injuring 2302 troops. Within hours, NATO fires a tactical nuke at Russian forces. The number of casualties is unknown.

10/18: American Strategic Nuclear forces are at DEFCON 2, as are Russian ones.

After this, the timeline becomes more unclear. On or about 10/30, there were a series of strategic nuclear exchanges between Russia, America, and China, resulting in approximately 1.5 billion dead and wounded worldwide. EMP has destroyed about a third of the world's electronics. The worldwide economy stops outright. Starvation, residual radiation, and regional conflict claims another 2 billion lives in the next two years.

Another possibility: A rogue Bolt-From-The-Blue full-on nuclear attack by Russia, without provocation, occurring 27 minutes from now.

I have a million caps.

I have the former Nuka Cola bottling plant. I can print caps as-needed.

Russians target NATO transports coming from Belarus with effective artillery.

How'd we get in Belarus in the first place? Belarus is Russia's lapdog ally, not ours.

In a nuclear war, everyone hits everything.

The “starving masses” I was referencing is the violence which ensues when the population realizes there are no resources. All societal norms are out the window.

Yes, those with any resources at all will have to wait it out for weeks.

I know a lot about Ukraine history.
There fight for independence, their abuse by Stalin and others.
Year ago I had a long discussion with some Ukrainians. They were all excited about Zelensky and how is Ukraine turning better and better.
Of course, that is the problem. Putin does not mind poor and corrupt Ukraine, but hates when things turning well.

Sure, fine, stand up to the Russians. Just be aware that things just ‘happen’ that draws nations more and more into war. Just look at how World War One broke out.

WWI took just few days to get going. We are well pass that!

WWII took few years to start. There were many points (like the Nazi occupation of Rhineland) when it could be easily prevented.
But it was not prevented, just because people like you, afraid of their own shadow.

The problem now is that nobody is scared of Biden. If Putin was scared of him, all of it could be prevented. Biden originally threaten Putin with minor sanctions and even allowed for minor invasion. Then started small deliveries, and it is escalating from there.

Nah. I'm not afraid of my own shadow.

What I *AM* afraid of, is global thermonuclear war; a complete collapse of the economy and the global environment; persistant radiation; waves of famines and diseases; and the loss of all civilization, all knowledge, and all humanity.

You know, minor stuff like that.

I know a lot about Ukraine history.

I'll do you one better: My father's side of the family LIVED a lot of Ukrainian history. My grandfather on my father's side was a Ukrainian Kulak, who narrowly avoided Stalin's Holodomor. He managed to get two sons out, but had to leave his wife and a daughter.

That kinda qualifies me as somewhat knowledgable about the Ukraine and its history.

In that case 5 days may be about right, as our supply chain comes to a grinding halt.

Many population centers have experienced disruptions over the years for things like hurricanes, and they don’t get overly alarmed at store shelves being empty... temporarily. In the Houston area we’ve had a few such such disruptions that lasted for several weeks, including power outages and stores closed.

But when people start to realize that the cavalry is not going to arrive and save them, they will panic. Things will get ugly fast. The further away people are from population centers the better, but that does not automatically mean safety. Even very remote areas are accessible within a few days of walking. And there will probably be lots of armed, violent gangs that have other means of transportation as well.

Probably a lot like The Walking Dead minus the zombies.

It is important that those with resources keep things low key in a true EOTWAWKI situation.

I often see preppers on these types of threads bragging on their generators and how much fuel they have stored up. They would do well to leave those generators turned off. Otherwise, they will attract the wrong element like bugs drawn to a porch light.

The key in this situation is to pretend you are as screwed as everybody else and not be conspicuous.

Satan always offers a false premise.

God is in COMPLETE control!

Genesis 3
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Job 1
20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,

21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly

Matthew 3
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
