Mattea Roach has become one of the greatest Jeopardy! contestants of all time. Roach is on a 17-game winning streak as of the most recent episode. Her most recent victory was her closest yet, winning by only $1 over her closest competitor. She is only 23 years old and is ranked No. 8 all-time in consecutive wins on the show. So far, she has won $396,182 on the popular trivia game show. NBC News praised Roach's impressive accomplishments with a recent tweet, but instead of celebrating her brilliance, the tweet rejoiced over her sexual orientation.
"The 23-year-old lesbian tutor from Toronto has amassed a total of $320,081, the most by a Canadian contestant in Jeopardy!" the NBC News tweet read.
It is puzzling how NBC News would know this and why it would put that information in a tweet. Why is Roach's sexual orientation relevant in any way? Does being a lesbian make her superior in trivia? Does it grant her magical memory retention powers that mere mortal heterosexual contestants do not have?
Wasn’t the point of all of this gay awareness to promote equality? What is equal about promoting a game show contestant's sexuality when discussing her winning streak?

They chose her because of her orientation, just like they chose a he/she a few months back because of his/her trans status. Jeopardy is just another opportunity for the left to use the screen to propagandize us.
Since I never used those words, “repulsive and ugly”, you couldn’t have been asking me. But I DO have an opinion, FWIW. Tastes vary. But I did originally think Ms. Roach was cute and attractive, in her own way. Therefore, for her to don a nose ring, in what I can only surmise is an effort to make herself more attractive; is very much like putting a coontail and mudflaps on a ‘57 Chevy.
Thousands of people compete to be selected to play.
Whoever owns the franchise wants more gays in the public eye. It’s not that complicated.
I had to look it up so I'll save others some time.
trib·a·dism [ˈtribəˌdizəm]
NOUN
a form of sexual activity between women in which the genitals are stimulated by being rubbed against one another.
I can only imagine!
Years ago the manager of another location was having problems with his fax machine and called me up and asked me to send something, anything. My sense of humor was about 12 years old so I took a magic marker and drew a large male member on a sheet of paper and sent it away. He neglected to inform me that the district service mgr., a large bull dyke, was there.
We BOTH got 3 days harassment training!
I thought Mattea was cute at first but her talking with her hands SO MUCH has begun to irritate me.
If you watch her, she moves her hands (and arms) in sync like a T-rex.
Ever since I realized that’s what was bugging me about her I can’t stop laughing every time she does it.
I think the show was/is Canadian based. I don’t know if they did any American cities.
My mistake. I looked it up and apparently it began as an American show and then spread worldwide.
Going for those large straights really do me in sometimes.
Roger that. And I’ve remarked to my wife several times about those funny little hands; almost like flippers. And she DOES frequently FLIP one, or the other, or both, in an offhanded manner. She’s definitely a different breed of cat. Maybe a lot of it is that she’s Canadian. And on THAT subject, howcum she knows more American history than I do?!
P.S. On the subject of Canadians, I have one favorite Canadian; singer Anne Murray. I once opined to a professional pianist/entertainer acquaintance that I bet the feminists hate Anne Murray’s guts. He asked why I believed that. I replied, “Because most of Ms. Murray’s numbers portray a woman who is singing about her being madly in love with a man.” He replied, “Well, we can’t have that now, can we?”....as he segued into “YOU NEEDED ME”.
One day last week, both challengers used the pronouns “they/them.”
I told my wife they had the gay trifecta!
(I’m glad I’m not the only one irritated by her hand movements. Her comments are getting a little cocky, as well. )
Yes, all of the episodes I saw were in NYC. I’d like to see some in the other locations.
“That Amy guy did pretty well, didn’t he?”
But did he also identify as lesbian? If so, gotta hand it to the guy...a millionaire AND still shagging the womens.

I take that to mean that you don't remember Art Fleming? Are you just a young whippersnapper or are you a foreigner?
Never go for the straights when playing a Lesbian.
BTW - I am STILL hoping Mattea becomes the biggest winning/longest streak for a female on Jeopardy to kick that guy out of the news. The lesser of two evils I suppose, but...
Yes I remember Art. Yes I’m a foreigner. If you look at post 13 you’ll see I wasn’t talking about Jeopardy but Cash Cab. I never saw the original US version that was on Discovery and assumed it was a Canadian thing. In the 1960s it was a lot easier to keep track of amount of stuff on tv than in this century.
20 game queen Julia Collins married Roger Craig, the champion who was the first to beat a Ken Jennings record (one day total. $77,000).
