The first Super Bowl I ever watched was Bengals/49ers. Cinch has been to 2 SBers in my lifetime, the Browns may never.

LOL! Pickett seems to be the best of a mediocre lot at QB. But one never knows.

Gotta admit I dig Mel Kiper because he’s an idiot.

Gotta admire Kiper. He has turned the draft into one lucrative niche area of expertise.

Totally agree with your comment, and if Kiper actually had shown any ability to pick talent, he’d be working for an NFL team. He’s like the stock market touts on CNBC, often wrong but always predicting.

Nice job Mel, staying off the bread line.

Like to see Pickett end up with the Steelers, I think he’d be a good fit there.

That is partly the nature of the draft. How many can't miss picks don't work out? Ryan Leaf notably. And a bad high pick like that sets a franchise back years. Then a player like Brady is taken as an afterthought in the sixth round. As Louis B Mayer said - or was it Sam Goldwyn - nobody knows nothing.

That would be the natural fit. The Steelers passed on Marino back in the day. I don't think they'll do that agin if Pickett's available. I'm not giving that small hands BS any credence.

I’m not a Mayfield fan, but the Browns done him wrong in my opinion. Browns ownership and front office are a nightmare.

Agree about Mayfield. I hope the Browns are happy with Watson ... he's bringing a lot of baggage and may well be suspended for a portion of the season. It's going to take some high performance on his part to overcome those obstacles. As for Mayfield, where will he wind up?

Wentz was good for us for one year, then he got hurt, at the right time, and Nick Foles was literally touched by GOD.

Foles will always have that championship. That's more than many get. What do you think Doug Pederson will do in Jacksonville?

And how about this:

Raiders owner Mark Davis open to signing Colin Kaepernick

I note he's not saying they are going to sign him or even that he wants to sign him, only that he won't fight the front office if they were to sign him. Yeah, a player who's been out of the league for almost six seasons and was only mediocre then.

Leaf was a no brainer, at least to the smart guys.
In Bill Polian’s book, he talks about how Peyton Manning showed up for his “15 minute” pre-draft interview with 24 pages of detailed questions for management, which went on over about 4 hours that evening at dinner.

And Leaf didn’t show up at all for the interview.

I think the Browns made a big mistake getting Watson and giving him a kings ransom. He’ll most certainly he suspended 6-8 games this year and he’ll lose half f the ones he gets to play in. That crowd up there will eat him alive. Plus I doubt his ability to play in the Cleveland weather.

As for Mayfied, he may not go to another team, nobody wants a self centered QB. He just may take his $19 million and sit at home this year. If he does sign I’m guessing Cleveland pays half or more of his salary and maybe the Seahhags or Texans take a chance.

The Browns were crazy to do the Watson deal.

Ravens take Kyle Hamilton. Good pick. Ravens still need an edge rusher and a number one wideout but I don’t think they are going to find any down the draft.
