Many junkfoods last forever without decomposing and won’t be touched by insects and scavengers — twinkies, cold cereal, fast food, etc.
I wish that was true about twinkies.. lol. The last two boxes I bought had mold in them. I complained to hostess and haven’t bought them since.
I have a cookie from my grandfathers C rations in WWI it looks brand new.
