You can find this fun quotation puzzle, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications. I challenge us with the best ones out there.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days.  If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!

I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.

One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.

From The Arkansas Gazette. A lot of clues in this puzzle. Should be easy for most of you

Looking at the past postings, it looks like the Today’s Cryptogram started around December, 2018.

Some of you have been here from the start. If so, please let us know.

I’m happy to announce that one of our raving fans, Apple Pan Dowdy;, is going to host the Today’s Cryptogram on Mondays. I’m looking forward to her style of CGs.

Lonesome in Massachussets; posts on the weekends. His puzzles are usually very thought provoking and fun.

This has been a real help to me, and allows a daily puzzle 7 days per week.

Thank you for the world so sweet,
Thank you for the food we eat,
Thank you for the birds that sing,
Thank you God for everything.

Lonesome, I just came here to post something about solving today’s. I could not say it better than you did. So I’ll just agree with your perfect post.

Thanks to ALL of you who give us something to look forward to every morning.

It’s a shame FR no longer shows the “Views” that each thread gets. I believe that the numbers for the daily cryptograms would be staggering.

I’m sure the number of views is much greater than the replies. I’m certainly guilty of that: rare is the day that doesn’t start with a cup of hot covfefe and the cryptogram. But I too rarely say thanks to the posters for all of the hard work.

Thanks all of you!

Was that his full name or his title plus surname? I’m guessing the latter.
