not that any of this matters -- bc 80% of Republicans have reinvented themselves as Trump diehards just to survive -- but this tweet thread reminds me of the summer of 2016.. at that time Levin was a passionate Never Trumper and Thiel was on the RNC stage endorsing Trump.

He consistently and strongly supported Trump in the 2016 general election and ever since then. He also pieced together much of the Russian collusion hoax weeks after Trump was inaugurated.
Like many of us, including myself, he didn’t initially support Trump in the 2016 primaries. In his case, he supported Ted Cruz because he liked Cruz’s known track record.
Yes, Levin does have an “in your face” style. But so does Trump. That sure didn’t stop pretty much every Freeper from supporting Trump both 2016 and 202.

I was pretty much a never Trumper and was horrified at the when he said those mean things about Ted Cruzm my fave at the time. I had a flash conversion to MAGAism when Cruz responded. He wilted and I saw what Trump had done. He showed us that Cruz could not stand up to the abuse that Donald Trump knew was coming to any Republican President and especially to Conservative stalwarts.

My response was factual. September 2016 Levin became a supporter of Trump. I’ve heard Trump compliment Levin more than a few times since.

I stopped listening to him during the 2016 Primary, but when I listened to him again after Trump won, he was still taking some shots at Trump. He was almost bitter that he won. I don’t know how much he supported Trump in the fall.
I was a never Trumper too. I thought he was in it to win it for his pals the Clintons. I’m glad I was wrong. I don’t think we should hold it against people who were anti Trump for the right reasons. It’s different than Romney or Liz Cheney’s anti Trump stance. They hate him for being conservative.
It will start again when Trump opposes WW3. And just like that he’s the male Anne Coulter again. Hold on now.
