Once, the Greek philosopher and dead white male, Socrates, taught that “To know thyself is the beginning of wisdom.” True, in the past one might have written the preceding as “Once Socrates famously taught”; however, given the postmodern, know-nothing Left, notably its Manichean minions in academia, one no longer enjoys the luxury of such assumptions.
Indeed, Socrates’ teaching is not merely dismissed by our lettered “betters”; his teaching is the target of their exorbitantly expensive, taxpayer-fueled indoctrination factories. (Spare me the “some universities are private”; with the notable exception of places like Hillsdale College and Grove City College, all of these institutions take some measure of federal funds—either through student loans or otherwise.) America’s institutions of higher learning are the avowed enemies of critical thinking, which is vastly different than the warmed-over communist, agitprop ladled out as “critical [fill-in the Leftist cause] theory.” The former is education; the latter is indoctrination.
In days of yore when higher learning stalked the leafy autumnal grounds of academe, these institutions treated coeds as adults. This made eminent sense, as the goal was to educate and, critically, to empower the individual with the ability to think. Then hope was that the end result would lead to the coed becoming an independent, self-reliant adult, able to fit his mind to the world regardless of what life threw at him.
🔇 Not so much today.
The overpaid, unaccountable indoctrinators spewing their hateful, delusional leftist cant for profit, promotion, and prominence—a.k.a., their “greater good”—have deconstructed and devolved the literal “old school” into their personal brainwashing emporiums. The Left supplanted the primacy of education with indoctrination: intelligence is conflated with obedience, and independence is considered both selfish and dangerous.

Marx and Alinsky were experts in manipulating stupid people.
Knowing thyself is wisdom, but also freedom.
However, there are many levels of knowing thyself. To truly know thyself, one must die daily and achieve no-self.
Even death does not remove the vail of illusion. Only transcendence does. This is where the soul grows to realize they are One with Jesus and God.
At this point a person perceives directly from their soul consciousness beyond their physical body and without the bodily senses.
“In days of yore when higher learning stalked the leafy autumnal grounds of academe, these institutions treated coeds as adults.”
I can still remember my shock & awe when a 70something chemistry professor addressed me as, “Mr ———”.
Knowing thyself can not be done from within the bubble of ego-self.
Many of those now let into colleges and universities through “affirmative action” don’t have the mental horsepower to think critically.
America has devolved into the mythology of Leftist nonsense.
“I am science” is the motto of today’s Leftist narcissists.
“I am the center of the universe and YOU are just an extra in the movie in which I star.”
This is beyond Marie Antoinette’s “Let them eat cake.” This is “Let them starve to death. They don’t agree with me.”
and now they turn out angry children less mature and more ignorant than before they attended.
Temet nosce.
The answer is no.
Yep. Their reasoning and response to ideas not in line with theirs is to Burn, Loot, and Murder.
Have a cookie, by the time you finish it, you’ll be right as rain…
Their heads are in the sand. They can’t hear anything.
Right or wrong really do not exist. They are just experiences for the soul to learn. Even death is just a learning experience for the soul.
You only really get one shot at that one.
I thought those read and blue pills were M & M’s!
What happens if you take both at the same time?…
We do get more than one chance to die.
I died over thirty years ago, crossed over to Heaven, enjoyed the Love and Bliss, and they sent me back, telling me it was not my time yet! I’ve wanted to return every day since..
Through this experience, consciousness itself became physical to my perception. I read the stored memories in people’s souls without them ever saying one word. Every thought a person ever had or experienced is stored in their souls, external to their physical body. Consciousness became physical to my perception. It’s not channeling or mediumship. It’s hard science like x-rays do to bones.
Has to do with frequencies of consciousness. We can change our consciousness operating frequency and our perception of reality changes.
I have never “crossed over” if you will. I meditate twice a day to calm my mind, but never anything transcendental if you will.
As for frequencies, are you referring to brain waves?
As in Beta, Alpha, Theta, & Delta...
The Left is what it is. Co-existing with them is becoming increasingly problematic.
Of all the things I know I know that I know one thing that I know nothing.
