The handyman killer who murdered Queens mom Orsolya Gaal has been living in the US illegally after moving to the US from Mexico 20 years ago.
David Bonola, 44, slashed Gaal's throat then stabbed her in the body more than 50 times in a fury on April 15th. He then stuffed her body in her son's hockey bag and wheeled it down the street in Forest Hills, Queens, leaving it for a dog-walker to find the next day.
Bonola was charged yesterday with the murder and with criminal tampering. He made a chilling confession to police on Wednesday night, then ate a cream cheese bagel, according to sources cited by The New York Post, who described him as a married father with two kids.
His estranged wife and children are believed to live in Queens with him. An unidentified woman was photographed leaving his house on Friday.
On Thursday, NYPD detectives said Bonola had been living in the US for around 20 years after migrating from Mexico. They declined to comment on his immigrant status but ICE has now filed a detainer with Queens Central Booking, where he is being held.
Bonola had been Gaal's handyman. The pair met when she hired him to do work on the home where she lived with her husband Howard and their two sons.
They had an on-off romance for two years until last week. It seems that it had gone sour again despite the pair reconciling in April.
When police searched the married mother's house, they found the note on the fridge, according to The Daily Beast.

Nobody deserves such a horrific ending, but this woman wasn’t exactly a good apple. It’s not like some poor innocent girl being offed for just walking down the street. She was a pig and a fool.

You can spin this story anyway you like. Its not a story about illegal immigration. At its core its a tale about adultery that ended violently. As usual its the children of these two who will suffer the most and longest. The story is common and has occurred throughout recorded history and its a good bet that it happening currently and will be happening in the future. It would seem that there has always been and will always be men who covet other men’s wives and wives who will betray their husbands.

Agreed, plus she was a bad mother. Imagine what her 13-year-old son went through when the cops showed up, put him in handcuffs and took him down to the station. At that point he might or might not have known what happened to his mother until the cops started asking him questions. His father and older brother were out of town, so there was no adult family member to help him at that time.
If only we still had public executions and truly speedy trials. This creep is going to be living off taxpayers for years.
Oh yes it is. Illegal immigration is a side story here, but it is a genuine part of the whole story. If this SOB had not been able to cross from Mexico to the US illegally about 20 years ago, this woman's life would have taken a very different turn.
The perp being an illegal alien may have a lot to do with it. He had the risk of deportation hanging over him and she may have taken advantage of that.
If she was looking for hookups, she may have sought out someone she viewed as disposable. He may have resented her for it and snapped.
