FAA Rules YouTuber Trevor Jacob Purposely Crashed Airplane
Aviation Weekly News ^ | 4/20/2022 | AWN

Posted on 04/22/2022 5:47:15 AM PDT by jaydubya2

In a letter sent to Trevor Jacob by the FAA on April 11, the FAA said he had violated federal aviation regulations and operated his single-engine aircraft in a “careless or reckless manner so as to endanger the life or property of another.” The agency said it would immediately revoke Trevor Jacob’s private pilot certificate, effectively suspending his license to operate any aircraft.

When contacted by The New York Times via email Trevor appeared unaware of the FAA’s ruling and replied, “Where’d you get that information?” to their email, they also said he did not immediately respond to follow-up emails.

Trevor Jacob posted a video to his YouTube channel last week in which he addressed the airplane crash controversy saying “I can’t talk about it, per my attorney. But the truth of that situation will come out with time, and I’ll leave that at that.”

The FAA does not have the ability to prosecute Trevor, it can only revoke and suspend certificates as well as issue fines. The FAA has ordered Trevor to surrender his private pilot license (PPL) threatening further legal action if he does not do so, this includes a penalty of up to $1,644 for each day he does not surrender it.

I think I already made the comment about tyrants. It suits you.

Sometimes common sense isn't so common. I shudder to think that people like you walk amongst us.

As I understand it he did recover the wreckage when he was warned about it. Also I believe to fly in that area you need an altitude of 9000 ft. so that little aircraft could probably have glided about 14 miles with a feathered prop.

Obviously, the whole thing was fake and he bought that old beat up plane to crash it in the first place. He gets what he deserved.

“How is this any different?”

It is. He deliberately crashed an aircraft and lied about it to accident investigators. That thing could’ve landed on someone. Look how high it is? That plane went MILES before coming down. He failed to operate the aircraft in a safe manner therefor he 100% deserves to lose his pilots license and never fly again. Cars are different. Your friend was not on a public road and did not launch his car in such a way that it came down randomly. And he did not post it on the internet and lie about it. The sky is public, not private land. If you can’t fly in a safe manner then you shouldn’t be up there.

Are you seriously arguing in favor of walking down the street randomly shooting things and not getting prosecuted? If that is your definition of freedom you’re in the wrong place.

Next you’ll be saying that he is a threat to all society and a terrorist wanting to kill thousands. But you’re right, your safety is more important than anyone’s and everyone’s freedom to do things that ARE NOT ILLEGAL. Where is the law that says doing this stupid act is illegal? There is none or he would be charged with it.

dunno, why I am trying to convince people who are clearly of tyrannical mindset to not be tyrants.

This was the comment I left on his YouTube video -

“@**hole. Fake from start to finish unforgivably magnified by BAD ACTING. The quest for 15 minutes of viral is going to unleash an army of Darwin Award contenders ready, willing and able to endanger the public and splatter their butts across the digital landscape. Personally, I’d coldcock this peckerhead for destroying an artifact of aircraft history for purposes of ego gratification. FAA should make him eat the wreckage.

Nice old plane. Though it looks like that engine wasn’t original. The cowling looks trimmed to fit the engine.

Well, if you were camping where that airplane hit you might see it differently. And, the FAA needs to be sure that all the aircraft in the air are under control. Not an overreach.

The pilot community called for this guy’s scalp.

IF! lol. what an absolute hoot!

and Re: pilots community- Democrats generally believe that majority rule is proper. The reality is that the mob is never where you get justice from. Have you ever heard of the dinner being planned by two wolves and a sheep?

He violated multiple Federal Aviation Regulations(FAR). So, yeah, it is a problem.

” It’s no different than people who drive drunk. We don’t want them on the road endangering people so we yank their licenses even if they haven’t yet injured anyone.”

EXCELLENT point. General Aviation flying is a DANGEROUS hobby and requires a great amount of skill. Not to be able to “just do it”, but to do it SAFELY for yourself and others.

It is very SERIES! The FAA takes it very serious!

The FAA and NTSB are probably the only two alphabet agencies that are actually good at what the do and are NOT corrupt.
