#MarsHelicopter can’t stop, won’t stop! Ingenuity completed its 26th flight on the one-year anniversary of its first flight on Mars.
It took these four images during the flight with its navigation camera.

How much taxpayer money is being spent to fly drones around mars?

Why?

If they scrubbed the relatively pointless human space missions they could have sent hundreds or thousands of probes and drones around every planet in the Solar System.

We might know if Titan (under its icy covering) was habitable.

And why even do probes and drones? Technology advances, jobs for engineers and scientists, lessons learned can be transferred to the military to keep us ahead of our adversaries, etc.

The quicker we can send all the worlds Democrats to beautiful Mars the better. They will do a much better job of exploration than some pitiful over-engineered drone! /s

The number out there for the pricetag of Ingenuity is $85 mil.

Why?

It's one of those mysteries of life you just have to take on faith:

Jezero Crater was named after this place.

Who doesn't remember ♫ "Gonna Fly Now" ♪, aka the Theme from Rocky? Famous.

 

The coat of arms of Jezero is in a boxing glove shape, blue with white collar in the base inscribed red community name.
In the centre the the Otomalj mountain green with a single white stone near the top, in base wavy, and underneath a trout white.
In the top dexter diagonally Serb tricolour. In the top sinsiter previously was set the coat of arms of Srpska, but it is later removed.
The boxing glove is a hommage to the Kacar family with two world boxing champions in 1980's, and other successful sportsmen in the family.

I keep an eye out on NASAJPL Twitter but I missed it. Hmmm, I looked back through and I can't find it posted.

Maybe the flights are becoming "routine". I hope they aren't beginning to take Ginny for granted!
