A Chinese official and a German Ex-pat speaking in English?

Dude may be a White Monkey - people who make their living in China by selling stuff online, but usually by shilling on YouTube for the Party - “Everything is just fine and the people are so happy here in Xinjiang.” Said while eating an ice cream cone with a fair in the background. Then chattering on about the greatness of the Chinese government and the marvelous way of life in China. White Monkey.

That conversation could have taken place in America.

Or government isn’t any better. The employees aren’t any smarter. The conversation wouldn’t be different.

In German either.

The whole world is stupid.

English is the standard language of multinational corporations. And there are a lot more Chinese that speak English than there are that speak German.

Speaking of speaking - I've heard that if a Swiss person in Zurich talks to a Swiss person in Geneva, the call is likely to be conducted in English.
