The abuse claims predate Heard, around the time he moved to Paris. And was badmouthing the USA, as I recall. I realized he was just another celebrity jerk, and I no longer thought about supporting him by going to his movies, or going to movies at all really. You must really be in love with the guy, or perhaps you are brothers.
