Following the ascension on that first ‘Easter, a term radixed from ancient fertility cults,’ not a lot happened among those Apostles, for just about 7 weeks.

Finally, at Jerusalem, those Followers collected together, and by about 9 O’Clock in the morning a supernatural event was witnessed by about 120 who were gathered. In a few hours, the group had increased to about 3000 persons, many from all corners of the Roman Empire and elsewhere.

In short order, many who were on pilgrimage for the Holiday known to the Greeks (Speakers of the non Hebrew tongue) as ‘Pentecost’ heard the simple men, Fishermen, Carpenters, Laborers, and such began to express themselves in languages which could not possibly be known to them.

These ‘Pilgrims’ began to marvel and then question about the things that they were seeing. Peter stood up, and that once shy guy, who trembled on the night when Roman Soldiers approached him, that guy who denied his affiliation or affinity with the Rabbi who so annoyed the ‘Leaders’ of the ‘Community’ that they set out to have him executed.

So suddenly, Peter develops a spine and speaks in a loud voice in order that he would be heard. It reads as if he is a different guy. Well, Peter was given ‘The keys to the Kingdom.’

Doctor Luke goes on to tell of the events which soon followed. That is commonly referred to as ‘The Book Of The Acts Of The Apostles.’

I am not prone to discussing religious topics out here. My tendency is to reduce important matters to easy to read prose. I do at times feel the need to prove that I read things and that I sincerely attempt to understand things.

The ‘Keys’ are used in the 2nd Chapter of Acts.

Incidentally, the rift between Jesus and those Pharisees was all ‘radixed’ in their discussion regarding the Laws regarding Divorce and the inarguable position that God had created Marriage in the Beginning.

The issues these days are no different than they were 2000 years ago.
