It’s scary not to be able to trust doctors.


Not to me. It’s been my second nature to be contrarian. As a child, if I had the slightest hint of temperature, sore throat or whatever, the doctor was called. And I couldn’t help but notice that after he gave me his potion or pill from the black bag, it was always shortly thereafter that I would be puking my guts up. Parents’ response: “Well, there, you see, you really ARE quite ill! Aren’t you glad we called the doctor to take care of you? My response: “Well, it was that awful stuff he made me swallow that made me sick!”

After I was on my own, I didn’t go to another doctor, no matter how bad I ever felt. Now I feel justified. LOL

LOL, my mom did the same to me. I even remember the name of the hated doctor. He was Dr. Cella.

I only go now if I’m desperate. Now that I’m older I do all of the cancer preventive checks but I’m getting ready to stop all of those too.
