Drugs like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin showed hints of value initially but failed in clinical trials — only to remain in circulation, at least partly because their use symbolized affinity in the culture war for some of President Donald Trump’s followers……BS!

wow what a pile of propaganda. It seemed that the only drugs that CDC thought worked against COVID, were new drugs controlled by large drug companies/ No old drug was allowed to work. Only new drugs that were not tested, were allowed. Funny.
Also funny, how drug tests in the rest of the world showed Ivermectin worked. But if Canada or the US was involved in the study it did not work. Wild. It seems even Israel does not know how to do a study.
Another funny thing is the death rates. New Zealand and Australia who locked their borders and have very few COVID deaths, each had a spike of deaths in 2021. How did that happen. They had vaccines and lock downs but no COVID. And still the death rates spiked. Odd.

I just finished reading your CoVID article about heritage drugs and CoVID.
As a former contract programmer for DOR I helped produce some of those reports. So I found it most peculiar that Dr. Zelenko was not mentioned in the article (https://khn.org/news/article/repurposing-cheap-older-drugs-as-covid-treatment-camostat/).
Dr. Z had treated 1000 cases of CoVID with a single death, using HCQ, zinc, AZT, and supplements. With those kind of numbers, over 600,000 Americans were unnecessarily killed by the CDC CoVID protocol that delayed treatment when the disease was most vulnerable to HCQ and zinc. In fact, Dr. Fauci stated IVM was a candidate for further research of SARS-2 due to its in vitro effect against that virus in 2004(?). Dr. Zelenko was well published in 2021, and he freely published his protocol. A lot of common folk know that IVM and HCQ are ionospheres that allow access for the zinc to follow the virus and stop its replication while asymptomatic. You would expect physicians would have the same knowledge.
So why did the CDC's study of HCQ eschew early treatment, unlike Dr. Z, and change the dosage established by Dr. Z? Your recent article completely glosses over these questionable 'adjustments' to a successful treatment protocol, perhaps to cover up the 600k Americans killed unnecessarily by the CDC when compared to Zelenko protocol? Until health care providers own up to abetting this pogrom of genocide by CoVID, Americans will be afflicted with health care that no longer '... does no harm' nor believes in 'first... start treatment'. You no longer deserve America's trust.
So I ask you, please amend your propaganda to include the lie of omission about HCQ by noting Dr. Zelenko's success over CDC treatment choices.
One drug that really worked for me on chest congestion was terpin hydrate. I would get the type without codeine, cough like crazy the first day I took it and then my lungs were clear. Guaifenesin wasn’t nearly as good. But someone decided that terpin hydrate was an old drug that had never been tested to FDA standards, so it was taken off the market because no company would spend money testing a generic drug.
