Locally (SW Wisconsin) we are seeing a HUGE spike in egg prices, but that’s partly due to Wisconsin losing 4 large chicken flocks (100’s of thousands) to the Bird Flu.
Kwik Trip (gas station) is the place to go for cheap eggs, milk and butter - and they are limiting purchases on all of the above when they are even further on sale. They didn’t even do that during CovidBS-19!
Around here, for the past three years, we were all saying, ‘I’m not going to panic until Kwik Trip runs out.’
And they never did. But, we shall see.
Well, the garden is apparently being put on hold for the next couple weeks.
We are expecting a significant storm tomorrow here in the northeast and according to Joe Bastardi, he’s expecting a colder than average May. He says we are not past the last frost date by any means.
