We were forced to sing it in elementary school in the 1960’s.
Nothing quite like southern 5th graders croaking out hippie show tunes, especially when the next song was “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head”. This was nothing compared to real child abuse, but I remember being embarrassed for the school.

Problem with these astronomical events is their timing sucks. 45 minutes before dawn?! I’ll look at the pictures my dorky friends take.

For most people in North America, the ideal time will be to go out and look southeast about 45 minutes before the sun begins to rise.
