No. The Minsk agreements were all clear that the separatists would have local autonomy but that Ukraine would have control over ALL international borders - meaning the separatist regions would be firmly in Ukrainian territory.

Zelensky was not president in 2015 when the separatists violated the agreements by taking the Donetsk airport in battle. Zelensky became president FOUR YEARS LATER. That’s 3 years after Biden left office as VP.
For all those idiots out there who think the Ukrainians are the real warmongers I have a simple question: Why didn’t the Ukrainians wage total war on the separatists between 2015 and 2022? Why didn’t they call up their entire army, go for complete mobilization, instead of fighting a barely there sitzkrieg for 8 years?
I just don’t understand what it is about this war that has made so many Freepers stupid. I just don’t get it.
