Bump for later. What a great find!

Yes, this is great. I never knew this about Agnes Moorehead, but I love that show and to me, at least, what really makes it work is the chemistry between Moorhead and Montgomery as mother and daughter.
Thanks for posting this!
Happy Easter!
Thank you. She was a great character actress.
A number of articles that appeared in periodicals in the alternative press have identified her as a lesbian. Paul Lynde, Moorehead’s co-star on Bewitched, stated: “Well, the whole world knows Agnes was a lesbian – I mean classy as hell, but one of the all-time Hollywood dykes”.
How wonderful a find, thanks so much for sharing, it was a magnificent recital.
When Welles started The Shadow radio show, Agnes Moorehead played Margot Lane, Lamont Cranston's love interest.
Thank you. That is very good!
Doubt the label of Agnes. Paul Lynde on the other hand, pings the gaydar.

Sorry, but Agnes Moorehead was well known to be lesbian.
When I think of Agnes Moorehead, the first thing that comes to mind is Citizen Kane.
She appeared in many old radio broadcasts. What a talent.
Moorehead's close friend Debbie Reynolds stated categorically that Moorehead was not a lesbian. Reynolds's autobiography mentions the rumor and states it was started "maliciously" by one of Moorehead's husbands during their divorce.[20] Moorehead's longtime friend and producer Paul Gregory concurs in the assessment. Quint Benedetti, Moorehead's longtime employee who was homosexual, also stated that Moorehead was not a lesbian and attributed the story to Paul Lynde's frequent gossiping and rumor-mongering.[21]Let's avoid spreading malicious gossip about someone who cannot defend her honor.

Almost everybody associated with Elizabeth Montgomery on that show was gay or lesbian. But Agnes was great.
Really? Never heard it.
Sorry, but not believing it. See other posts.
“Really? Never heard it.”
I grew up in Los Angeles. It was known, but not openly publicized. Like Rock Hudson. Like Victor Buono.

Believe or disbelieve whatever you want.
