Yes...can’t discount the masterful campaign run by Biden’s campaign team - they completely controlled the narrative from start to finish with zero competition from Trump’s campaign on most media platforms. They also found sleeper networks which fly under the radar like the digital subchannels and ran ads unopposed for months - scary good ads defining Biden as strong, accomplished, good hearted, and the man who would bring American back. That’s what most people saw Biden as. He was not disliked in the way Hillary was going into the election. Most didn’t see the Biden who couldn’t finish a sentence sometimes for over a minute at a time, cursing out people to their face and asking them to go outside and have a fight, hairy legs, etc. Had this Biden been seen with competing ads on these networks, things may have been different. But Biden’s campaign defined him without competition from Trump’s campaign. If you don’t think allowing your opponent free reign to define the narrative the entire race did not have an impact and made the race close, you are delusional. Biden also had billions in free media from a press campaigning for him 24/7 on top of that. Most voters do not watch or attend rallies. Many, many times more were influenced by these ads and they never heard from Trump. Witness Biden’s improvement with older voters - Biden got a sliver of those who voted third party to feel “comfortable” voting for him who did not vote for Trump nor Hillary. Simply reality - that was their obvious strategy for targeting those subchannels watched by millions of older voters, and it paid off big time for them.
