I don’t think they can even show any incrementalism.
Is the earth cooling? Are we in an Ice Age? Does this mean that citrus no longer grows in Florida?
Is the earth warming? Is it all heating up? Does this mean we can grow citrus in Maine?
Have the seas been rising for 50 years? Does this mean all the old beach houses in New England are now underwater? Any of them? Have the seas risen even half an inch in 50 years?
This whole “we’re all dead in 10 years” stuff doesn’t work if they can’t even show incrementalism over a 50 year span. Nothing is happening.
Current satellite measurements are 3.4 mm / year. That’s about one and a third inches per decade. It’s small compared with tides and storm surges.

It/we didn't.
But how could a former gym teacher who moved into sex Ed
and 'health' get it so wrong?
He was certainly 'qualified' to teach such scare-mongering
subjects - wasn't he? Must have gone to some sort of college, right?
I remember thinking - "Surely guy is exaggerating,
the situation can't be THAT bad..."
But being the first time I'd ever heard such stuff,
it did have an effect on me - albeit a minor one.
Looking back on it, he was actually enjoying trying to scare
the heck out of us kids. Sicko.
But we have at least two generations that think all those things are happening because they’ve been taught that in school and have had it hammered into their heads through movies, TV, books and now social media since they were babies. Ask almost anyone under the age of 45 and they will recite chapter and verse the horrors of Climate Change. It is part of their, dare I say, mythology?
