I have known about Chesterton for years! He is a great intellect and wit and a staunch defender of Christianity(especially Catholicism) and the traditional family.

Enjoy discovering his prolific writings. At one time, there was magazine dedicated to his philosophy and humor. Also, there are videos which focus on his works. Can’t remember the name of the narrator/host but I have watched many of them.

Chesterton and C.S. Lewis were contemporaries who often debated the issues of the Christian faith.

It was the Chesterton Society. The videos were hosted by Dale Ahlquist on EWTN. Very excellent. I would guess EWTN’s bookstore would have copies.

Jvette;

Chesterton; (29 May 1874 – 14 June 1936) Lewis: (29 November 1898 – 22 November 1963) Lewis read Chesterton, but I do not think they debated.

Chesterton debated H.G. Wells on a number of occasions. Perhaps that is what you are remembering?
