What we are learning is that democracy does not mean to the US government what democracy means to you and me. It Simply means countries becoming client states of the United States rather than other countries so that our corruptocrats can suck them dry rather than someone else looting them.
If intl standards the the US and other Western nations try to make third world countries live up to were applied here, the summer of riots would be looked at as the US being a failed State, the election would be known as a farce and the Jan 6th people would be considered political prisoners of an illegitimate government.
