Jada Pinkett Smith confessed that she “really didn’t want to get married” to Will Smith.
In fact, the “Matrix” actress — now on the roasting spit of Smith’s infamous Oscars smack-down of Chris Rock and the Academy’s decision Friday to ban him from the ceremony for 10 years — admitted to “crying down the freaking aisle” before tying the knot with the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star on New Year’s Eve in 1997.
“I was under so much pressure, you know, being a young actress, being young, and I was just, like, pregnant and I just didn’t know what to do,” declared Pinkett Smith, 50, in a freshly exhumed snippet from her “Red Table Talk” Facebook series. “I never wanted to be married.”

I don’t think his joke was out of bounds, but I do think your mom was kind of mean. But mom’s can get away with that, I guess.

Even if he did, that sort of thing goes with being a public figure. You don’t want to be the target of such comments? Then don’t be an actor or a singer or a politician. Go be a hairdresser or a bus driver instead.
That’s the way I se it, anyway.
He tolerates what he deserves
My mom can be a bit of a pill, and my dad was really sick then, and my hair was really, really short, so I ignored it.
This was before my daughter joined the Marines, so I didn’t know that women Marine recruits don’t get their hair cut. If they don’t already have short hair when they get to boot camp, they have to make buns with lots of mousse.
That may have been the precise question in her mind.
I’m glad to hear they make that concession for women. Maybe for Sikhs too?

I don’t know. I assume there are religious accommodations for Sikh men, but Sikh women would be in the same “sock bun” group with all women who didn’t get their hair cut before they shipped out to boot camp.
At least she didn’t call you sergeant carter hair. It’s an old joke from married with children. Al used to call marcy that ;)
My daughter stopped me from shaving my head bald. I lost so much hair while I was going through cancer I hated the way it looked. She was really upset about it.
She probably couldn’t be sure. Paging Maury Povich.

Her acting career is non-existent. She got her role in the Matrix because she’s Will Smith’s wife, and aside from a short-lived TV show (never saw it), I am not aware of anything else she has done.
She played Fish Mooney in “Gotham.” She brought real life to the role of a female gangster.

If true I have no sympathy for either one.
