A businessman with a £130m fortune has told his children he won't be leaving them a penny when he dies, we can reveal.
Hospitality magnate Hamish Ogston, 74, is adamant he will give his entire fortune away to charity and let his three children fend for themselves in life when he is gone.
His three children Darcy, Digby and Isabella have forged their own careers in business and law while Digby is also studying for a PHD - and all are apparently content with their father's plan.

One of the big problems in our society IMHO is too many “idle rich”. People with money who don’t appreciate what it took for their ancestors to earn. These are the kind of people who prop up movements like “Black Lives Matter”.
Who cares?
Good news for libs? Pretty sure Mac bezos and Mel gates are pouring cash into lib causes.
Oligarchs want control. They know better than us.
So, yeah.
Give it to the homeless? What will they do with it?
This is stupid.
People should do everything they can to help their daughters and sons.
Luke Bill and Hillary. Then putting Chelsea in charge of it.
Booze, weed, cell phones. A lot of the (new approved name) “unhoused” choose to be so to keep out of the system.
And we work so hard to try to leave as much as we can to our kids and grandkids! We figure it will help them buy a house, pay for their kids college, etc. Can only imagine how much houses will cost for our baby grandkids when they get old enough to want a house! Our first house was $32K. You can’t buy a new car for that much now!
I wonder if Chelsea is in Webb’s will?
FWIW, Digby Ogston would be a great name for a rich, spoiled toff if one were creating a character in a novel or movie.
And so many charities are SCAMS!!!!
I never understand why people do this. You should do everything you can for your kids.
One of the ones I always scratch my head over is Tori Spelling and her money woes. At the very least the grandmother should have tried to help the grandkids. Put the money in a trust.
I have no doubt there are all kinds of deciding factors that are not public knowledge but if you have that kind of wealth there are all kinds of things you can do to help protect it if the person is a spendaholic.
Most rich people’s kids deserve that. In fact, almost all of them.
i agree 100%
Even those who say this probably have at minimum Trust Funds established for those children. It just sounds impressive to announce.
Good for you, Dad! Spend £100 million on booze and hookers, then squander the rest.
I'm gonna burn my wealth.
As a former NYer, I have known tons of trust fund babies and their money has almost always had a profoundly negative effect on their lives (drugs and alcohol at the top of the list).
Life doesn't have as much meaning when it has been prepaid for by the family.
