A businessman with a £130m fortune has told his children he won't be leaving them a penny when he dies, we can reveal.

Hospitality magnate Hamish Ogston, 74, is adamant he will give his entire fortune away to charity and let his three children fend for themselves in life when he is gone.

His three children Darcy, Digby and Isabella have forged their own careers in business and law while Digby is also studying for a PHD - and all are apparently content with their father's plan.

tori is good example of someone who should have been given a trust with a quarterly payout. She grew up in a super rich household but then when she gets out on her own it is hard to deal with. It may be that Aaron figured out Candi would take care of her and grandkids.

If I had 600 million I would make sure my kids had a house and expenses of the house taken care of and then a quarterly payout. I would make sure any future grandkids were taken care of as well

its not Tori’s fault that she grew up in a rich household and didn’t know how to handle budget households.

Candi could have gotten most of the money and still been enough left over to take care of Tori in a trust.

If inheriting wealth decreased people’s character, and not inheriting wealth increased people’s character, low-income inner-city areas would be havens of virtue.

They are not.

Take a walk through Compton.

That would have been a good plan. Then she could only blow so much each year, and in time she may have learned to manage it.

Another liberal NGO/center of liberal lies is born. The future NGO rulers will get rich of this guys fortune but hell why not. Screw his kids, grandkids…. I truly hate the way liberal woke idiots end up controlling these thing in 10 years. All these NGO aka centers of wokism should be gutted via asset forfeiture. Billionaire tax is tiny compared to what they could get from all these endowments, trusts … that end up grooming, abusing … kids

Pet peeve of min if it wasn’t clear.

You have just used a false dichotomy (a logical fallacy) to make a point.

I didn't say being poor builds character. I said that sometimes inherited wealth (wealth, not a little nest egg) can lead to trouble in one's children.

I have seen it many times. Most of us have.

If case you haven't noticed, money is very seductive...and, when not earned, it can lead to addictive behavior.

Of course, you are welcome to have any opinion you like. That is your perogative.

Compton also has many examples of addictive behavior.

Very true.

Do you think it would go away if we gave everyone in Compton a million bucks?

No, my point is that wealth neither increases nor decreases character.
