While on a photo safari in South Africa a couple of years ago we met a man from Sweden who was a brain researcher at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.At night,around the fire (can't go out at night,too dangerous),he'd fascinate us with his accounts of the research he's done. Our group consisted of my girlfriend and I, him and his wife (a psychiatrist),a German doctor studying to be a Tropical Diseases Specialist and two German medical students.

At one point he said that scientists know more about the surface of the moon tan about the human brain.A very disconcerting thought indeed.

Did you notice how easy it was to get close to the Birds? Just amazingly tame compared to what I'm used too.
