I really wish I could run Win95 or Win98 on my laptop. It would make it much faster.

The fastest computers I saw were Win98 machines that were running Win95.

Windows 98 is still the perfect user interface. With each new editions of Windows I spend the first couple of days adjusting the settings to be as much like 98 as possible.

Try Linux Mint. It is much faster than Windoze.

On basic operations such as opening folders W/9x, using Fat32 mechanical HDs, they could be faster than later NTFS drives. However, you needed to keep an eye on system resources, and they could not much handle what the Internet loads today.
