Help With A Number Transfer

My neighbor lady was told that her 20 year old LG vx8300 phone was coming to an end in December.

Well she saw, and bought one of those bundles on HSN that has 1500 min/dat/text along with a Samsung smartphone.

She wants to keep the same phone number from the old phone and I thought that I could help her.
Yea well ... that ain't working out so well!🙄

All of the "transfer your phone number" instructions I have run across deal with the more modern smartphones, not these 20 year old flip phones!😬

Is there any way to do the "keep your number" change-over on two very different devices?

If any of you can help I will forever be in your debt!👍

Btw: The old phone is on Verizon's services and the new Samsung with the 1500 minutes is a Tracfone bundle which is also owned by Verizon.

As I said, any help will make life a little easier ... For me! Lol

Good luck luck trying to get through the Tracfone maze. Tracfone wants to keep its shrinking user base and will frustrate any attempt to leave the Tracfone reservation. If you do get through to a live Tracfone help line, he/she/it will speak ancient Egyptian or a dialect from a lost Pict tribe.
