So sorry. Just yesterday I happened to be watching his amazing dance from Bye Bye Birdie on YouTube - “Got a Lot of Living To Do”.

He was the best singer for Volare. Such a happy song.

We were planning on seeing him in Lancaster, Pa in September.
RIP, sir.

Hugo Peabody, the undertaker’s son, who gets the girl, Kim McAfee (the delicious Ann-Margret) at the end of Bye Bye Birdie. He played the part to perfection.

He was the best singer for Volare. Such a happy song. That was a fixture on the playlist of our local Oldies station KWIZ in the late sixties.

"He was the best singer for Volare."
Over here it is Dino...a nonpareil! Even better than Domenico the original IMHO!

They were both good. It’s a matter of opinion though. It was a different time and such a good time. I don’t even want to get started on how screwed up things are now.

The authors of Grease named the high school (play and movie) Rydell High in honour of him.

He was trying to keep his girlfriend Ann-Margret from getting snatched up by Conrad Birdie. Ann-Margret. Sheesh. I love that movie.
