While I prefer other genres of music, hearing the classics never bothered me.
If I wanted to torture or drive people away, I’l play the Kars4Kids commercial loudly on ENDLESS LOOP.
First they played “It’s a Small World” but that ran off the customers too.

Our local subway system does this at the “downtown” stops. I have noticed they particularly prefer string concertos
The combination of classical music, and strings played over a transit-authority public sound system keeps the Yutes and even the most incoherent drug-addicts away.
Aside: Fred Meyer is a LARGE very complete Department Store with a large Grocery department, and occasionally, a Gas Station.
Always used to help me "sharpen up" for a little of the old "ultraviolence."

I now am of the opinion that if these Prog Leftist Whining neighbors want the music stopped, THEY can take care of the HOMELESS and CRIMINALS TRESPASSING ON the Fred Meyer Property THEMSELVES, or buy earplugs and shut up.
I think the issue is loud music being played at night that’s keeping up nearby residents. I wouldn’t want to listen to that either.
Maybe they should fence off their parking lot and lock the gates at night. Put concertina wire (there’s a nice musical reference) on the fence. That would keep things quiet.
Good idea but the loudness of the audio volume is disturbing to the nearby residents at night. They need to try it at a lower audio volume and see without disturbing neighbors. Sucks that they even have to do that but leftardism is rampant.
Some friends own a business in downtown Portland, and they added hidden external speakers to the front of their business and play “sounds” through them to keep the sidewalk clear in front. Has worked for decades.
And GOOD on Freddie’s! Not a bad idea, and if it works? Even better!
