One correction for the Mosin:
“This rifle does not break. But if it does, your local blacksmith can repair it.”
Oh, darn!
LOL
Hey! Where is the column for the M1 Garand!
Yes, it does, and thank you.
Funny how that kind of thing happens. Getting 15 or 20 Galil Orlite 5.56 magazines for $30 gave me an irresistible urge to do a Saiga conversion...
;>)
Thanks.
Wanna keep all weapons available. Old and new.
No 8mm Mauser however. I’m low on those too.
J & G Sales in Prescott AZ has them in stock. They also have a few used Mausers in stock too.

In 2020 during Lock downs I got around to rebuilding a Russian M44 by taking parts from a second one I had.
Repaired and got into excellent working mode my Mauser K88.
So now I got 2 excellent functioning rifles.
Thanks for the info. Of all the ammo I use , I’m only short on 8MM Mauser.
Got 10s of thousands of rounds of damn near everything else.
Just got Back from a gun show and it’s insane. Bulk
ammo is twice the price as
are desirable Long Guns.
But it definitely smelled
of FREEDOM!
Have you been to
Desert Eagle in Prescott Valley?
Toys,toys and more Toys!
I buy items from Desert Eagle. The owner’s name is Boris. So many gun stores to go to here in the Quad City area. I counted 21 stores in the area that sell firearms.
I love This Place!
😀
Do you have a K88, or a K98? They’re not the same thing, and the ammo is not interchangeable.
K98………It runs with 8mm Mauser.
Long heavy rifle but damn……accurate like crazy with just iron sights.
That’s Awesome,,,
.
Didn’t see one at
The Show’s, it would be hard to miss!
Tragically, I lost the one on the left and the one in the middle in a boating accident. Not to worry, I joined a Citizens Markmanship Program that was started by Teddy Roosevelt during (or after?) the Spanish American War and will be certifying in the CMP program using an M1 Garand.
Not the status of the Mosin Nagant being one of the most feared weapons ever made to be sure, but properly sighted and kept in "as issued" condition it should be good to 600 yards, which just so happens to be the longest range at the sportsmans club I belong to.
At that distance, that's going to be a little over triple the range I used to be accurate shooting between the trees with my .308 with during deer season.
I'd feel much better being able to "reach out and touch someone" at that distance if the need ever arose.
