GOP Rep. Carl: ‘On the Verge’ of Giving House Republicans the Largest Majority They’ve Had in 100 Years

Republicans are expected to do well in the November elections, but just how well remains to be seen.

Democrats hold a narrow 12-seat majority over the GOP. Flipping just a handful of those seats will likely result in a Republican taking the speaker’s gavel from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). However, Rep. Jerry Carl (R-AL) said he believes the eventual likely Republican majority will be much larger.

Yes, they “did nothing” but pass numerous Congressional Review Act repeals (first time in history such a feat had been undertaken), repealed the individual mandate, passed historic tax reform (massive accomplishment we have been waiting to see for decades), legislation allowing states to defund Planned Parenthood, VA reform (major campaign promise of Trump), etc. “did nothing but obstruct” - not a dimes worth of difference, etc.

Certainly was no difference between Devin Nunes holding the gavel of the Intelligence Committee vs. Adam Schiff either, right?

The media will try - unfortunately with some success - to blunt momentum as they no doubt have plans in the works with the Jan. 6 committee to release a “bombshell report” on the eve of the election, will probably have 11th hour indictments in the Gaetz investigation, etc. Remember in 2006, while things weren’t looking great, we were starting to regain footing in the last couple months in the campaign - looking like while we would lose several seats, the majorities in the Senate and possibly the House very narrowly might be maintained...then the Mark Foley scandal came to the Democrats’ rescue and George Allen’s “Macaca” comment that was caught on tape and released - amazingly, had George Allen not done that, Obamacare might never have been able to pass as that would have been one more seat we would have held at the time. “Old elections” can also have consequences long into the future.

What was done with Nunes? What Democrats were held accountable for anything?

Are any of the following: Strzok, McCBe, Page, Baker, Clinesmith, Wiseman etc etc in prison?

VA reforms? Which do you speak of? I can show you countless examples of disability fraud.

I’m pretty sure, damn near everything go else you mentioned was done via EO bu President Trump. Obamacare is still law. He got rid of the individual mandate on his own, without any help from Congress.

I’m sure Thune, Graham, McCarthy, Cheney, kingzinger, Graham, McConnell and all the other RINOs GOPe love having you as a voter.

Guaranteed vote for the Establishment and UNIPARTY

Bannon means well and I think he is very passionate, but it's not mathematically possible to gain that many seats. The RNCC has targeted 82 seats, but that is preliminary. Even if Republicans win every Biden +10 seats, the Republicans still won't gain anywhere near 100 seats.

Recall going into the 2010 midterms, the Rs had 178 seats, but they start this midterm with 213, so the Rs already have 35 more seats than 2010 in which they gained 64 seats. The Rs will gain a lot - 25 to 50 but no where close to 100, unless the entire society collapses between now and November.

So what? We've had the majority before. We've had the house and the senate before.

But our Repugnant Congress Wienies are as useless as rust on a hammer.
