Alex Crawford travels to the town of Irpin, north of Kyiv, where Ukraine says it has driven out Russian forces.

The town has seen some of the heaviest fighting in recent weeks as Russian troops attempted to edge their way to Kyiv.

However, Moscow said this week it was “cutting back” its operations in the north of the country.

The Poles I know will demand a crusade to Moscow.

It be hilarious to see the Poles in Moscow raiding Norse's bot farm! Do you think Norse would still say the Russians are doing well in the war even as the Poles are stringing him up?

Why NATO should be involved if Poland enters the war on own initiative? If it will then you’d die too. As for crusade on Moscow that’s funny. Didn’t work in 1610. The next partition of Poland is going to be terminal.

I expect step 1 would be Nato suppression of every Russian asset in Kaliningrad. Step 2 would be a few armored brigades reinforce Lithuania Latvia Estonia. Lukashenko will be terrified into incontinence. Step 3 will be stealth aircraft start blasting airfields railheads fuel depots and missile assets.

I thought your scenario was that the Russians just start shooting at the Poles?

This is how things work in the Russian brain. Russia randomly starts bombing Poland = Poland attacking Russia!

Of course not, but the stupid Polish government is begging for the “peacekeeping” mission in Lvov under NATO protection. They obviously want to return the territories Stalin took back in 1939.

This is that friendly Russian spirit again.

BTW, I’m Spanish. From our POV you guys are just - pesados is the best word probably. Buttheads with a side of tediousness is the best English equivalent.

Sure, that was the plan all along. That's why they flew in troops to grab the local airport.

Apparently that is their standard operating procedure. They used (elite) airborne troops to capture Kabul quickly, execute their leaders and cause the government to fall. By then, they can flood in the capital with conscripts after the command and control by their enemy collapsed. But the Ukrianians were prepared for that so that attack failed.

Oh my, now after starting an egregious war with the Ukrainians, and then the Poles, you want to start a nuclear war with all of Western Europe? Recall what I said about the problems with the Russian character?

Sleep it off man.

Poland sold its soul to the EU/NATO a long time ago...it shows vestiges of being a sovereign nation, but that’s all.

It seems like you have lost the logic of the discussion. It is the Polish who are seeking entry and want to drag you into it.

Two helicopters can penetrate 20 miles using the river valley to hide from radars, it is not a huge feat.

Its a bit harder for them to fly over Mariupol...even on the third attempt

Bad luck. I heard there were two French intelligence officers on one of them, hence Macron is so nervous.

Poland has been a breeding/training ground for Ukrainian Nazis for a least a decade The United States military and CIA has carte blanche to do what it wants there and is currently using your sad little country as a staging ground for intervention in Ukraine. They literally built an airport in southeast Poland for that purpose.

My sad little country is in the other end of Europe.
Poland is cool, but its not my country. Sadly they have this problem with a psychopathic neighbor.
