Fake slap

Will Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Pictures Friday in the face of possible suspension or expulsion from the organization after he slapped Chris Rock during the Oscars last weekend.
In a resignation statement, Smith said he would accept any consequences imposed by the Academy’s Board of Governors for his actions.
“The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home,” Smith said in the statement, obtained by Variety.
“I betrayed the trust of the Academy. I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work. I am heartbroken.”

Evidently Will Smith is to stupid to realize that if he left Jada and meant it she would absolutely FREAK OUT, him letting her walk all over him is not in any way helping his situation!! Hey Will MAN UP, you can have ANY damn woman you want you NEED to show Jada she is just NOT ALL THAT!!

Chris Rock Fd around and found out. I would have beat him to a pulp on national TV until security came up there and physically stopped me. I’m 6 foot plus he probably would have died from blunt force trauma had he talked about my wife like that. F around and find out simple as that. To many beta males getting their panties in a twist over this. In the not to distant past you had to defend dishonoring a lady with your life via a dual with swords or pistols. You chose your second to assist in the dual like a man.

Do you realize that the wife in question publicly f’s around on her husband, then asks her husband about her infidelity on her podcast? The wife’s honor vanished years ago. What Will S. did is more akin to remaining silent while your wife publicly carried on affairs, then challenging one of her paramours to a duel because the fellow shaved with your razor while freshening up after a tryst.
Never feel sorry for a multi-millionaire who blew up his own career by being stupid.
He jumped from his ego and landed on his IQ.
I wonder if they paid him for this performance.

I’m sure Smith will be recompensed for his assistance.
And keeping his mouth shut.
Has anyone asked Rock, Smith, and/or the producers to confirm or deny whether any of the alleged assault was preplanned/scripted/rehearsed/blocked?
No.
That’s why I think it was staged.
Nobody is willing to ask and the participants refuse to issue a denial.
BTW, depending upon how the rating were calculated, and given the ever-so auspicious timing of the incident, that alleged assault likely kept that show from being the lowest rated Oscars ever.

The producer has talked about it. He thought..like everyone else...that it was a bit...until Will got to his seat and was cursing Rock out.
Rock was clearly shook up. My guess is he is going to sue or at least leaving the door open.. and is taking lawyers advice to not say anything right now.

Someone other than a “yes” man must have talked some sense in him.
He has some anger issues and I read one commentator wonder if him slapping Cris Rock was really his desire to slap his wife.
Only he knows what was in his mind.
He spent years building up his image as a “good guy” and one moment of pique he tossed it away. Video clip of THE SLAP will be around forever (like that streaker back in the 1970s).
Perhaps the first step on the road back is to divorce your wife, she is not doing you any favors.
