I used to raise laying hens on a relatively large scale - 50 at a time. Sold ‘fancy’ cartons of eggs to Yuppies WAY before it got cool for everyone to have some pet chickens in the yard. Or their house. I don’t judge, LOL!
Sometimes ‘production’ ramped up in March, sometimes in April up here on The Frozen Tundra.
Those bird-brains knew what to do. ;)
