Climate change is causing some species of birds to lay their eggs a month earlier than normal.
A study recently published in the Journal of Animal Ecology reports that roughly a third of all bird species around the Chicago area are nesting an average of 25 days earlier than usual.

Darn good thing we have climate change, otherwise we’d be long gone from that Ice Age.

Couple of years ago a guy I know asked me if I wanted a wild turkey. I thought that rather odd because it wasn’t turkey season so I asked about that.
“Got 6 a them!”, he told me.
“Six??? How the Hell’d ya get 6 turkeys???”
“Well, I came around this curve an’ there right in front a me, crossin’ the road...”
I thanked him for thinking of me, but declined his generous offer.

Two to three weeks ago we had a bird nesting in the birdhouse with the male on top. Thought it was kinda early for that.
