It cannot be said with certainty what is burning and why it is burning from that photo. It will probably be ten years before a reliable non biased military history of this war will be available to the public. What is known is that Western experts who predicted that Russia would accomplish their objectives in three days were wrong. also many young men are dying horrific deaths.

The Russians are mining the AntonivsÊıkyy bridge, they are pulling out to protect their land bridge from Crimea to Donbas. Probably air lifting equipment out of kherson airbase at night and ukrainians probably hit it with artillery.

Kherson Airport.

As you called it, the gift that keeps giving.

It was important to the Russians in their drive to seize Odessa and the whole Black Sea coast.

Now I guess they will likely give up on that, and pull back to the East side of the river, and blow the bridges.

Unfortunately not yet. KGB Putin is still set on Mykolaiv and Odessa. Ukraine doesn’t have enough troops in the south to take Kherson yet. Russia have scrubs in the area that can be sacrificed.

Next week will be pivotal for Kherson and Mykolaiv. KGB Putin is trying to move better fighters and equipment to the area.
