I don't know how this show was on CBS. This show would be cancel culture fodder for Disney.

I agree with you that this show would not have even made it past the pilot in a better time, but I don’t understand the relevancy.

I used to watch it quite regularly. For those who don’t know, the daughter of a disgraced, jailed multimillionaire (Beth Behrs) tries her hand at waitressing in a Brooklyn diner. She immediately enters into a conflict-riddled friendship with a co-worker (Kat Dennings) and crashes at her run-down apartment. They try to scrimp and save money to start their own cupcake business so they can leave the waitressing jobs behind, while dealing with the pint-size diner owner and an oversexed short-order cook.
Their characters were pretty whorish if you look at their encounters with guys. I think it could have been a much better show if they didn’t make them so slutty. It was a good premise but they cheapened it for sexual innuendo laughs and situations. The basic plot had some promise though.

I tried to watch it, but after five minutes it was like a bad karaoke impression of an old “I Love Lucy” episode.

Lousy show. Even worse post.
he’s funny and she’s not guilty...
but the show could have been so much more.
The premise was actually the only good thing about the show.
I mean, the comedic timing was decent, but the entire show was nothing but a huge sarcastic insult fest for 15-20 minutes of the 30-minute show.
Now there is one raunchy female. If she had her way she’d have a show demonstrating sex toys for an hour every week.
